Sue & John Vlacich Within the first 30 minutes we met with Mark, my wife and I knew we wanted to business with him. We especially liked that Mark was a hand’s on owner, not a salesmen trying to get a quick commission as we experienced with a previous contractor. Once the contract details were agreed upon, the project was started and completed within the timeline we agreed to, not to mention we added a week of additional work to the project so he was actually a week ahead of schedule. Mark’s attention to detail and timely honest advice were critical to the success of the project. The bottom line is, Mark remodels your home with the detail and care he would remodel his own home. Mark and his small team of co-workers were pleasant and trustworthy , that was huge for us we both work and had to put allot of trust in Mark. Our confidence in Mark never wavered during the project and in the end, our kitchen and the rest of the house came out………awesome. We certainly hope we do more projects with Mark in the future and we would do so without hesitation.
Our kitchen, dining room and family room were completed gutted and re-designed. Kitchen was actually moved. Window and French doors installed. New hardwood floors that matched the floor in the family room. Mark came up with the design. He asked questions, shared any concerns and offered his advice.. I'm often asked "what would you change" - My answer - Nothing. They pay attention to details and made sure we were happy. It's been over a year and I still love everything and it's my favorite area in the house.
I have had the good fortune to have done granite work for Mark. His jobs are always on time and ready for us to install countertops. In Dec of 2010 I asked Mark to look at several items in my house that needed to be redone or fixed. We walked through room after room. In about a week he came back to me with scale prints of not only the things I asked about ,but things that he thought would best be done at the same time to minimize cost and inconvience in the future. We agreed to the first set of materials and prices. Well by the end of March we pretty much renovated my whole house! Mark had great ideas; and a real eye for style. It got to a point that I defered material choices to him. Now, a year and a half later and redecorated , my home is fabulous! With the changes Mark made there is better flow and the rooms look and feel larger. Several of my friends saw my house when it was completed and they hired him too! Mark and I worked together for over a year idenitfying mixed use real estate opportunities in northern NJ on behalf of a small group of private investors. Mark's impressive construction background coupled with his entreprenurialism and comprehensive knowledge of the real estate market made him a valuable partner. I have known Mark Brancato for approximately four years. During that time Mark served a senior construction superintendent overseeing a complex historic renovation and repurposing project undertaken by my company. Among numerous challenging design and construction-related features, the project was highlighted by the installation of a column-free glass and steel grid shell dome encompassing the uppermost three floors of the building in Manhattan formerly known as Tammany Hall. Mark's responsibilities during the Tammany project comprised all facets of construction field operations for this high-profile undertaking. Despite several unforeseen conditions and occurrences, including bankruptcy of two prime subcontractors, design modifications that complicated logistics and phasing, and weather conditions that adversely impacted installation of multiple building systems, Mark guided the project through these challenges knowledgeably and authoritatively. From mobilization through project completion, his technical expertise, sturdy command presence and savvy problem-solving capabilities were instrumental in satisfying the often-conflicting goals of a disparate team of stakeholders. I have worked in the development industry for 35 years; the last 30 in New York City exclusively. During that time, I have engaged few construction professionals having the combination of experience, technical skill, and practical creativity that Mark possesses. This may be attributable to the fact that Mark has worked on both sides of the divide - as an independent operator and as a superintendent for a large CM - a combination which in my experience differentiates great project leaders from good ones. He knows what it means to have "skin in the game" and proceeds accordingly.
